The Ham Kicker Saga

Hey Y’all,

So, one day long, long ago, kind Mr. Joe Robinson contacted me about a project he started called Ham Kicker. He conceived of it as a network of collaborating poets and musicians, turning poetry into songs. Cool, right? I sent him some stuff. Well, about four months and 26 e-mails later, “In The End” is finally available to hungry ears here: http://www.hamkicker.com/blog/songs/in-the-end/

It’s been so much fun taking part in this project and seeing my work take on an entirely new dimension. Any poets reading this should most definitely check out the rest of the Ham Kicker site, maybe send something in and take part in the big conversation, eh? You know you want to.

Cloudbursts #1-3

Hey Internet!

I’m extremely excited to be starting the official Cloudburst blog!  Cloudburst is a monthlyish reading series based in the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI.  Our #1 goal is encouraging the development of a community of poets, writers and performers in Milwaukee, and as such we welcome anyone who is interested in joining us!

Our first three installments were a fabulous success thanks to such awesome poets and friends as (in no particular order) Nick Demske, Edwin R. Perry, Keith Gaustad, Jeremy Behreandt, Eric Huff and many more!

In this space, I’ll be posting schedules and links for our future events, as well as other relevant news regarding publications and other readings.

Long live Milwaukee poetry!
